Faith Statement

The fundamental teachings of this congregation are reflected in the following clear Statement of Faith;

  1. We believe in the triune God eternally existent as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (1John   1:1-3, 14)
  2. We believe in the Bible as the inspired, infallible Word of God revealing the principles by which God will judge us; and therefore is, and shall remain to the end of the world the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions are tried(2 Timothy 3:16; Proverbs 30:5-6)
  3.  We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ the incarnate Son of God, born of a virgin by whom and for whom all things are created (John 1:1; 1John 5:7)
  4.  We believe in the physical resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, that He ascended bodily into heaven and is now at the right hand of the Father as our mediator, high priest, and advocate(Acts 3:12-26;Hebrews 9:24; 1Corinthians 15:12-28; John 20) and He coming back to take his church (the believer) without a spot or a wrinkle
  5. We believe in water baptism by  immersion and Holy Communion as the ordinances of the church to be observed as a public declaration of salvation through Jesus and in commemoration of His death, burial, and resurrection in victory over Satan, death, hell, and the grave(1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Matthew 3:13-15)
  6. We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost and only our voluntary obedience to the gospel through regeneration by the Holy Spirit evidenced by the holy fruits of repentance and faith can salvation and newness of spiritual life be obtained (John 3:3-7; 2Corinthians 5:17, 10:2-6)
  7. We believe in the personal, visible, and imminent return of Jesus Christ both for His saints and with His saints to reign in victory!(1Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1Corinthians 15:50-55)
  8. We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service
  9. We believe in eternal life for believers (John 5:24, 3:16) the reality of the devil and the eternal judgment in the lake of fire for the devil, his angles (Mathew 25:41, Revelation 20: 14 -15) and the punishment for unbelievers (Mark 9: 43 – 48,I Thessalonians 1: 9, Revelation 20:10 – 15)
  10. we believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God.
  11. We believe in the healing of the body and miracles by divine power or divine healing in its varied aspects as practiced in the Early Church (Acts 4:30, Roman 8:11, 1Corinthians 12:9, James 5:14)
  12. We believe in the table of the Lord, commonly called the Lord’s Supper for believers. (1corinthians 11: 28 – 32, Mathew 26:26-28)
  13. We believe that there is one true universal church, made up of genuine believers, but this one universal Church is also composed of many local churches in given localities. These churches are under the sovereign Headship of the Lord Jesus Christ exercising autonomous government under him, administering all its local affairs and ministry, as well as the propagation of the gospel. ( Acts 15:22, Mathew 16: 18, 18: 15-20)
  14. we believe that government is ordained of God and the powers that be are ordained as ministers of God to us for good. To resist the powers and the ordinances is to resist God. We are subject not only for wrath sake but for conscience sake, rendering to all their dues, custom, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor. We declare our loyalty to our government and its leaders and will assist in every way possible consistent with our faith in the scriptures as Christians Citizens ( Romans13)
  15. We believe in obedience to the divine call unto us to open our mouths for the dumb in the cause of all such as appointed to destruction, to judge righteously, and to plead the cause of the poor and needy. (Proverbs 31: 8-9)
  16. We believe and wholly accept the great commission given by Jesus Christ instructing us to “go to into all the world and preach the good news to all creation and make disciples of all nations….”(Mark 16:15, Mathew 28: 19 – 20)
